Whatyou’lldo in this role:
-Support daily production operations and serves as the primary technical resource for coating processes and equipment.
-Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot process and equipment issues, maintains process stability, and ensures consistent coating quality.
-Focus on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through practical process enhancements and continuous improvement efforts projects.
-Lead root cause investigations and implements corrective and preventative actions to resolve production challenges.
-Apply knowledge of coating materials and coating processes, with experience in equipment and processes such as manual and automated spray systems, including robotics, reciprocators, electrostatic spraying for liquid coatings and/or powder coating technologies.
-Measure coating and part properties such as viscosity, % solids, adhesion, hardness. lubricity, durability, and wet/dry film thickness—to monitor and optimize process performance, ensuring compliance with material and customer specifications.
-Develop and maintain clear manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications, and supports engineering changes.
-Assist with equipment qualification and process validation activities.
-Collaborate with Coating and NPI Engineers to transfer new coating processes and products into production.

You willgenerally workindependently with occasional guidancefrom supervisors or mentors toevaluate, select and applystandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modificationsto existing specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
You will reviewprocedures and plans prior to implementationas well asevaluateexistingproducts, processes and materialsfor failure analysis and potential improvements.
You willparticipateinprojects that require you toinvestigate, develop,documentand implement newproduct andprocess technologies of moderatecomplexity andscope.
While often you may be responding tosituations presented to you by others, you will also be able todemonstrateproactive insight into technical challenges andmitigatespotential issues orincorporatesimprovements.
You willplan,scheduleand executethe engineering work in a part of a major project;oryoumay leada smallerscopeproject.
You will performworkontechnical projects where you will follow Integer’s standard quality management and production system methodologies toinvestigate opportunities for product andprocess improvements.
You will applystandarddata analysispractices and techniquestoestablishroot cause for product and process failures or to support the justification for improvements to products and processes.
You willbe requiredtoobserveproducts and processes to recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations throughouta series of detailed steps or processestoestablishroot cause of thediscrepancies.
You are expected to collaborate with others in the exchangeofinformation, askquestionsandregularlycheck for understandingin support of your development as an engineer.
You embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.” You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS),facilitatingand/or contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to the successful attainment of our quality KPI’s and journey to 5 Sigma.
