Cleveland Clinic’s Primary Care team is dedicated to treating patients as a whole.This team provides comprehensive healthcare for patients and families and focuses on preventing diseases and promoting health and wellness. Services range from preventive care, such as screenings and immunizations, to sick visits and chronic disease management.As an LPN on this team, you willassistfellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience andnumerouseducational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 6:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care to patients.
Administer medication.
Maintain complete andaccuratedocumentation in medical records and files.
Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
Educate patients,familiesand others.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
Follow Code Blue protocol.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of Accredited LPN program
Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Knowledge of infection control practices
Experience with technology
Computer literacy
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of clinical experience
