What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are seeking a service-driven Pool Server & Attendant to provide excellent service to all our guests at the hotel’s outdoor pool. The Pool Server enjoys creating a first-class experience on our pool deck with a passion for people, fun, and delicious food and beverages as well as maintaining an active presence around the pool area, ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

This role is ideal for someone who is an energetic, guest-focused individual with a warm, friendly personality, combining 5-star service etiquette with high physical stamina. In addition, the individual is a proactive team player who excels at multitasking in a fast-paced environment - serving food and drinks, maintaining a clean, well-stocked area, and monitoring safety – while comfortably working in hot, outdoor conditions for extended periods of time.

This is a Seasonal Part-Time position that requires the availability to work 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the season May - August.

Specifically, as the Pool Server and Attendant, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Greeting and engage with guests warmly, present menus, and confidently recommend food, wine, cocktails, and beverages, and upsell!
• Anticipate guest needs in the pool area; acting as a cheerful host who is attentive but not overbearing, upholding hotel brand standards, professionalism, and a guest-first service culture.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of all menu items, cocktails and wine selections including descriptions and pairing suggestions.
• Accurately take and process guest beverage, cocktail and food orders using the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions responsibly.
• Expedite food and drinks, ensuring a timely, polished delivery; clear tables promptly.
• Communicate guest allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar.
• Set up and maintain designated pool-side tables while regularly inspecting pool and deck areas to maintain cleanliness and orderly arrangement of furniture.
• Complete all opening and closing duties, side work, restocking, and maintain proper uniform and personal appearance.
• This list is not all inclusive, additional job functions will be shared during interviews.

All associates are expected to perform any other duties as requested by management to support other departments and/or operational requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Must be available to work weekends Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the season.
• Previous experience as a server is preferred, high-volume and/or hospitality experience is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, to effectively communicate with guests and staff.
• Capable of working outside at varying noise levels, large crowds, and weather conditions, including being exposed to summer temperature extremes and standing for long periods in high heat/humidity.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment and respond with a sense of urgency when needed effectively.
• Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
• Moving back and forth between pool area, hotel lobby bar, restaurant and kitchen areas, including frequent and repeated climbing up and down stairs, for duration of shift.
• Frequent extending arms: reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying items for extended lengths weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stay alert and quickly identify and respond to safety concerns and emergency situations.
• Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age as required by state law for alcohol service.

• TABC Certification
