Position Overview
At Park Hotel Kenmare, exceptional hospitality is defined by meticulous attention to detail, intuitive guest care, and beautifully delivered experiences in every corner of the hotel. As a Barista, you will be entrusted with crafting and serving premium beverages using the internationally celebrated Blue Bottle Coffee. This role extends beyond coffee preparation and requires a warm, polished service style, a proactive approach to food delivery, and a strong commitment to maintaining the immaculate standards synonymous with Park Hotel Kenmare. Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve an exceptional range of specialty coffees, teas, hot beverages, and cold refreshments using Blue Bottle Coffee products and hotel service standards.
- Ensure every beverage is presented consistently, beautifully, and to exacting quality expectations.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all beverage offerings.
- Monitor coffee machine functionality, grinder calibration, milk quality, stock freshness, and all associated barista equipment.
Guest Experience & Luxury Hospitality
- Deliver warm, discreet, personalised, and professional service to all hotel guests.
- Build rapport with returning guests by recognising preferences and anticipating needs.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal presentation, poise, and communication at all times.
Food Running & Floor Support
- Support front-of-house colleagues through timely and polished delivery of food items.
- Clear and reset tables promptly to preserve a refined and welcoming guest environment.
- Assist in maintaining smooth communication between kitchen, service team, and beverage station during busy service periods.
Cleaning, Hygiene & Presentation Duties
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen still area and all associated equipment.
- Carry out regular polishing, wiping, sanitising, sweeping, mopping, waste removal, and replenishment duties throughout the shift.
- Support general daily cleaning schedules and deep cleaning tasks as directed by management.
- Uphold all HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures in line with hotel policy.
- Ensure all guest-facing areas remain visually pristine and luxurious in appearance.
