We are currently looking for a Business Controller for the Philippines,who will be the strategic finance partner responsible for end-to-end financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business performance management. This role partners closely with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize profitability, monitor budget adherence, and ensure robust financial governance across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills with business acumen and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Your key role:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecast processes
- Prepare and present management reports, P&L / balance sheet / cash flow analysis, and KPI dashboards
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability by business unit, product, and channel
- Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities; deliver actionable insights to senior leadership
- Support long-term strategic planning and business case development for new initiatives
2. Business Performance & Cost Management
- Monitor actual performance vs. budget / forecast; conduct variance analysis and root-cause investigation
- Drive cost optimization, efficiency improvement, and margin enhancement initiatives
- Track and report on key commercial and operational metrics to support business growth
- Partner with sales and operations teams to review performance, pipeline, and profitability
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting
- Maintain internal controls and support audit processes (internal & external)
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for leadership and stakeholders
4. Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to department heads and operational leaders
- Support commercial decision-making including pricing, contracts, discounts, and project evaluation
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to align financial and business objectives
- Drive process improvement and automation within finance and business operations
5. Special Projects
- Lead ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and special projects as assigned by senior management
- Support M&A, investment appraisal, and business expansion activities
- Drive digitalization and automation of financial processes and reporting
- Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
