The SAP PP/QM Consultant will be responsible for providing SAP Production Planning and Quality Management functional support in a complex manufacturing environment. The role focuses on SLA-based incident resolution, cross‑functional integration, and contribution to SAP enhancement and rollout projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve SAP incidents and service requests within agreed SLA
- Achieve Turnaround Time (TAT) targets as defined
- Monitor and control aging and backlog tickets
- Identify recurring issues and resolve problem tickets through root cause analysis
- Provide functional support across SAP PP, QM, MM, and VC areas
- Participate in SAP projects, rollouts, enhancements, and upgrades as required
- Work at client locations as and when required
- Coordinate with ABAP developers on technical specifications and issue resolution
- Ensure smooth business operations through effective SAP process support
- Awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards

Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science / Chemical from a reputed university.
Experience
- Minimum 3–6 years of SAP PP/QM/VC experience in manufacturing along with global exposure.
SAP Functional Knowledge
- Strong and hands-on working knowledge of SAP QM and SAP MM
- Experience in standard SAP QM/MM customization and master data
- In-depth knowledge of Production Orders, Order confirmations, Goods movements, Error reprocessing, Order printing, Stock/Requirement lists, Phantom assemblies and Batch management.
Planning & MRP
- Complete understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Knowledge of availability check, forecast processing, consumption-based planning
SAP Quality Management
- QM Notifications and workflow management
- Inspection Plans and Inspection Lot processing
- Results recording and defect recording
- Certificate generation and printing
- Sampling Procedure, Sampling Scheme
- Master Inspection Characteristics (MIC)
- Dynamic Modification Rule (DMR)
- Source, In‑Process, and Goods Receipt Inspections
Integration & Cross‑Functional Expertise
- Strong integration knowledge with SD, PP, WM, PS, CO, and VC
- Ability to collaborate with ABAP developers
- Understanding of ABAP debugging basics, user‑exits, and cross‑application concepts
- Strong business‑process understanding in a manufacturing environment
Good to Have Skills
- Knowledge of SAP MM and WM, including:
- Master Data
- Output Determination
- Invoice Verification
- STO processes
- Inbound and Outbound logistics
- Exposure to Serialization and error handling
- Knowledge of EDI
- Experience in project documentation
