The Senior Consultant – PLM Teamcenter will be responsible for administering the Teamcenter infrastructure and providing Level 3 support, offering advanced technical expertise for the Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. The role involves carrying out system administration activities, troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with development teams, and supporting L2/AMS teams in customization and optimization efforts.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Teamcenter modules, database management, and excellent communication skills. Experience in resolving escalated technical issues and delivering training will be an added advantage.
Your key responsibilities:
Teamcenter Administration
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades for Teamcenter/AWC.
- Refresh Teamcenter lower environments as required.
- Optimize data management for improved system performance.
- Maintain and enhance Teamcenter FMS.
- Configure Teamcenter maintenance utilities.
- Set up Dispatcher on both Windows and Linux environments.
- Migrate and manage services on Azure/AWS.
- Maintain Teamcenter services on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Update Teamcenter operations manuals and guidelines for Application Support teams.
Integration and Customization
- Integrate Teamcenter with CAD systems and other enterprise platforms.
- Install and configure T4S/T4EA integrations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Partner with development teams to understand PLM requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and project managers to align Teamcenter with business objectives.
- Work with Infrastructure teams to align server and system configurations with Teamcenter requirements.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and operational procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into system operations.
- Maintain awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Experience
- 7–10 years of proven experience as a Teamcenter Administrator in a production environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of Teamcenter functionalities, configurations, and administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities for complex issues.
- Experience in the crane or heavy machinery industry is an advantage.
- Good to have:
- Experience with TC integrations (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Knowledge of BMIDE, debugging tools (ITK, Java, SOA)
- Linux/Windows scripting; TCL scripting for T4S/T4EA
- Familiarity with PLM standards and best practices
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, and ServiceNow
- DevOps knowledge within Teamcenter environments
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in English with global teams.
