Job Summary
The Engineering Carpenter is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, cabinets, and interior structures throughout the hotel to ensure all facilities remain safe, functional, and in excellent condition for guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and Repair
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wooden furniture, doors, cabinets, panels, and decorative fixtures.
Repair damaged guest room furniture, wardrobes, desks, and wooden fittings.
Fix door locks, hinges, frames, and sliding systems related to carpentry work.
Ensure all carpentry work complies with hotel safety and quality standards.
2. Fabrication and Installation
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials according to specifications.
Install wooden partitions, shelves, cabinets, and decorative panels.
Fabricate or modify furniture when required by the hotel.
3. Preventive Maintenance
Conduct routine inspection of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Identify potential damages and take preventive actions before major repairs are required.
4. Work Order Management
Respond to engineering work orders related to carpentry issues in guest rooms and hotel facilities.
Complete assigned tasks within the required timeframe.
5. Safety and Compliance
Follow hotel health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Maintain proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
Ensure the working area remains clean and organized.
6. Team Collaboration
Coordinate with Engineering team members, Housekeeping, and other departments.
Support renovation projects and improvement works within the hotel
