What you will be doing:
- Serve, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts standards
- Assist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our banquet venues exceeds expectation
- Ensure the delivery of excellent service in banquet functions and meeting events
- Set-up and breakdown of functions and meeting events
- Provide any service required by the guests on the banquet floor
- Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: food, beverages, ice, dishes, and utensils; replenish as needed
- Adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards
- Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
- Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide
- Carry out duties in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues, including reporting suspicious persons and lost and found items
- Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures
- Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
