The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization鈥檚 credit policies, managing customer credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining healthy cash flow while minimizing bad debts.
- Develop, implement, and monitor credit control policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and approve or reject credit applications.
- Set and manage credit limits in line with company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate recovery actions.
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding customer credit status.
- Prepare regular reports on receivables, bad debts, and credit risk exposure.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Liaise with external agencies, legal advisors, or collection agencies when required.
