Rixos Phu Quoc is seeking an experienced and organised Assistant Chief Steward to support the efficient operation of the Stewarding department across the resort鈥檚 Food & Beverage outlets. Reporting directly to the Chief Steward, this role plays a key part in ensuring that kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware are properly maintained, cleaned, and available to support the smooth running of all dining operations.
The Assistant Chief Steward assists in overseeing the day-to-day stewarding operations across the resort鈥檚 restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, and kitchens. The role supports the Chief Steward in supervising the stewarding team, ensuring that all cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and operational processes are consistently followed in accordance with hotel policies and food safety regulations.
You will help coordinate the stewarding team to ensure that all kitchen equipment, chinaware, glassware, and utensils are cleaned, organised, and distributed efficiently to support the needs of the culinary and service teams. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in kitchen and back-of-house areas is essential, as well as ensuring proper waste management and safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
The role also includes assisting with staff scheduling, training team members on proper cleaning procedures and safety practices, and supporting the Chief Steward in maintaining adequate inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment. Strong collaboration with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams is essential to ensure operational needs are met during both daily service and large-scale events.
