We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Public Areas Head Houseperson. As a Public Areas Head Houseperson your support and leadership will ensure your hotel remains clean, beautiful, welcoming – and also a source of pride.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Supervision and continual training/recognition of the Public Areas colleagues
- Daily upkeep of all public areas in regards to cleanliness, maintenance and quality control
- Assist with all guest inquiries that arise during their shift
- Maintain good departmental and inter-departmental communication
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Coordinate with Housekeeping Head Houseperson with regard to scheduling, task assignments, and projects
- Review daily function activity to ensure all necessary time lines are met
- Assist with inventory control
- Attend communication meetings
- Work a variety of shifts, over a 24 hour period
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles
