As a Golf Course Captain Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Working with both our banquet and outlet operations will provide exposure to all facets of the Food & Beverage operation.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist management team to develop action plans to improve outlet performance
- Assist and lead the team on the floor
- Help lead the F&B Outlet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
- Support employees while ensuring service standards are maintained
- Take an active role with the training and development of new and existing colleagues
- Build and maintain a high level of customer service and staff morale through outlet promotions and staff incentive programs
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages
- Deliver and present food items to guest tables
- Process guest checks in a timely and efficient manner
- Bus and re-set tables
- Perform opening, cleaning and closing duties
- Respect golf etiquette and rules while on the course
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles
