As a Weddings & Catering Manager, you will have the invaluable opportunity to create bespoke experiences for your clients. As a Weddings & Catering Manager, you will be working closely with our Banquet and Culinary teams menus and design events for your clients. From intimate social gatherings to extravagant events, your organization, detailed planning and communication skills will have our guests feeling cherished and incredible. *Position is based on-site.
Salary range: $80,000-$90,000
What you will be doing:
- Respond to inquiries regarding wedding/catering/event space availability in a professional and timely manner; conduct follow-up calls after information has been sent.
- Conduct catering sales sites for prospecting social events.
- Assist in developing new business ideas and the promotion of existing business within all our market segments, focused primarily on Wedding/Catering Sales and Venue Private Events.
- Create and promote unique wedding packages.
- Proactively sell and service wedding, social and catering events.
- Build relationship with Marketing to develop promotional materials as needed to support further revenue growth.
- Communicate estimated event revenue to Director of Conference Services & Catering.
- Generate Banquet Event Orders, resumes and event diagrams in a timely fashion.
- Participate in periodic Catering/Banquet/Kitchen/Venue meetings to ensure perfection in service delivery.
- Build partnership with banquet team and vendors to ensure service standards are maintained.
- Provide event day coordination to ensure the seamless execution of event elements.
- Confirm all arrangements with vendors and entertainment, including the processing of payments.
- Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests.
- Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Conduct sales sites for potential wedding and catering business.
- Meet with wedding clients, group contacts and meeting planners on site.
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including overnight, weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
