SCOPE OF POSITION
As Chef De Rang in our luxury hotel you will ensure a full and accurate delivery of Food and Beverage to The Restaurant guests. Collect food and beverage from dispense and/or pass areas and serve to standard as set by Standard Operating Manual (SOP). You will provide attentive service, customer comfort at all times. Communicate any and all customer complaints. Attend, as required, meetings and training sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attitude is to be second to none to ensure a friendly, professional, helpful and courteous service to the customer at all times: and the same to your colleagues.
- To present guests with the Restaurant menu, advising of availability, daily specials and promotions.
- Take accountability for correct ordering and suggestive up-selling.
- Take accountability for correct billing and processing of payment.
- Take accountability for restaurant and hotel鈥檚 property.
- Provide effective delivery of Food and Drinks from BOH to guests in timely manner.
- Collect, clean and maintain equipment for all aspect of Mise en place and service.
- To ensure constant coverage at the floor and guest engagement.
- To ensure that you are present for briefings carried out before each service period.
- To ensure that you are present in trainings that will benefit your performance and your knowledge
- To ensure complete & thorough knowledge of the food & beverage items of The Restaurant menus.
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, presentation of furnishings, and the proper set up of the floor, Buffet (from Breakfast to late diners), kitchen pass, and dispense areas, report any problems and repairs to your Manager.
- To be flexible and carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capacity as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments as required, to meet the demands of business and customer service needs.
- To inform the Managers of guest鈥檚 comments or requirements if he/she cannot personally resolve them immediately.
- To adhere to all Health & Safety, Emergency, Fire and Hygiene procedures in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of personal cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
- Grooming standards are to be respected and maintained at all times.
- To ensure proper handover is done at the end of your shift.
