The Health & Safety Supervisor ensures a safe, secure, and compliant environment for guests, employees, and visitors. In a busy hotel setting, this role focuses on preventing accidents, enforcing safety standards, and maintaining compliance with local regulations and brand policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Compliance & Policies
- Ensure the hotel complies with Egyptian health & safety laws and Accor standards
- Develop, implement, and update HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all departments
2. Risk Assessment
- Identify workplace hazards (kitchens, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)
- Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor high-risk areas such as fire systems, pools, and kitchens
3. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction training for new employees
- Organize fire drills and emergency response exercises
- Promote safety awareness campaigns among staff
4. Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses
- Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures
- Maintain records of all safety-related incidents
5. Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure fire safety systems are operational (alarms, extinguishers, exits)
- Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures
- Act as a key contact during emergencies
6. Hygiene & Health Control
- Monitor food safety practices (HACCP compliance)
- Ensure proper sanitation in kitchens and public areas
- Work closely with housekeeping and F&B departments
