Position Overview
Our Barback will play a fundamental supporting role in delivering a seamless and refined bar experience, ensuring that bartenders are able to focus fully on crafting exceptional beverages and engaging with guests. With strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive attitude, the Barback will maintain the bar’s organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness, contributing directly to the high standards of luxury hospitality and guest satisfaction upheld by the property.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a genuine interest in bar operations and hospitality. Key Responsibilities
• Support bartenders during service by ensuring all necessary ingredients, glassware, garnishes, and tools are fully stocked and readily available.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, back bar, storage areas, and service stations at all times.
• Prepare and replenish garnishes, juices, syrups, ice, and other mise-en-place required for efficient bar operations.
• Collect, wash, polish, and organize glassware to ensure a constant supply during service.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels of bar supplies and notify bartenders or management of low inventory or quality issues.
• Support stock rotation and storage procedures in accordance with the hotel’s operational and hygiene standards.
• Remove empty bottles, waste, and used materials promptly to maintain a clean and professional working environment.
• Assist with receiving and organizing beverage deliveries, ensuring proper storage and inventory accuracy.
• Work closely with bartenders and the Bar Manager to ensure smooth service flow and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all health, hygiene, and safety regulations in accordance with hotel policies and local guidelines.
• Contribute positively to the overall team environment, supporting colleagues across the Food & Beverage department when required.
