We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Steward to join our team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of our kitchen facilities, ensuring a smooth and safe operation for our culinary team.
- Clean and sanitise all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surfaces, adhering to established cleaning schedules and food safety standards
- Wash, sanitise, and properly store all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware using industrial dishwashers or hand-washing techniques as appropriate
- Assist in the maintenance of food storage areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage, ensuring proper organisation and cleanliness
- Remove and dispose of kitchen waste regularly, keeping the kitchen and waste areas free from refuse
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the Kitchen Management
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organised work environment
- Participate in regular cleaning inspections and quality control checks
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional kitchen duties as required.
