Oversee daily engineering operations across guestrooms, public areas, outlets, spa, and back-of-house facilities
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and protect asset value
Perform and coordinate timely repairs of all hotel systems, equipment, and fixtures
Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with all safety, fire, life, environmental, and regulatory standards
Respond to emergency maintenance needs and critical/VIP guest requests promptly
Supervise, schedule, and support the engineering team; assign work orders and prioritize tasks to ensure productivity and timely response
Monitor labor logs, attendance, and staffing levels to maintain cost efficiency
Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled team while fostering a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture
Monitor energy usage and collaborate on sustainability initiatives to control utility costs
Assist with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and cost control
Support capital projects, renovations, and contractor oversight
Communicate operational issues to the Director of Engineering and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
Lead by example with a hands-on, guest-focused approach, promoting safety, service excellence, and Fairmont brand values
