What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Assistant Spa Director, the Wellness Experience Manager is responsible for providing daily leadership of the reception, reservation, facility & retail operations focusing on the consistent delivery of luxury and service excellence. The Wellness Experience Manager will ensure that all revenue opportunities, in keeping with the positioning of Fairmont Spa, will be capitalized upon and all productivity and expense controls are followed.
- Direct reception, reservation, facility & retail operations of the spa ensuring it operates cost effectively and efficiently while providing luxury service and maintaining 5 star standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the spa's first priority.
- Role model and ensure adherence to all safety procedures and practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure the establishment and execution of departmental goals.
- Provide hands-on leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Spa, including scheduling, payroll support, opening and closing procedures, and service coordination, to deliver a consistently elevated luxury wellness experience
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development for spa teams.
- Foster an engaged, high-performing work environment through ongoing coaching, feedback, recognition, and development
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences aligned with brand standards, including seamless guest flow across treatments, spa & wellness club facilities and retail spaces
- Actively manage guest feedback and service recovery to drive satisfaction and loyalty
- Partner with the Spa leadership team on SOPs, workflow optimization, and operational improvements
- Contribute to menu updates, seasonal offerings, and wellness programming
- Maintain strong knowledge of competitors—products, pricing, promotions, and service techniques
- Assist in the development and implementation of the monthly spa revenue management plan
- Support revenue, labor, expense, and retail performance goals, including merchandising and inventory control
- Maintain operational, cleanliness, and presentation standards across treatment rooms, spa facilities, fitness, Nordic, pool & retail areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Serve as a liaison between spa teams, leadership, and cross-functional departments
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to Fairmont Wellness Club initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, labor regulations, and departmental policies
