Job Summary
The Manager of Professional Development for Occupational Health Services (OHS) is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and evaluating all educational, training, and professional development programs within OHS. This role provides direct supervision of the Float Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and ensures all clinicians and staff maintain the competencies, knowledge, and skills required for safe, high-quality occupational health practice. The manager works collaboratively with educators, clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to create standardized curricula, standing orders, protocols, and SOPs; to assess staff learning needs; and to ensure all programs align with department strategy and regulatory requirements. The role includes one clinical practice day per week to maintain competency, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the integration of clinical insights into training initiatives.

Required:
Bachelor's Degree Health Administration or other related field of study required
RN licensure required
2+ years of proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing training programs in a healthcare or hospital setting required
5+ years of clinical nursing experience required
Preferred:
Master's Degree in related field of study
2+ years of management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health practice, regulatory requirements, and compliance.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate various audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms is desirable.
- Analytical skills to evaluate training program effectiveness and measure staff development progress.
- A passion for continuous learning and a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
