Job Summary
Responsible for providing therapeutic counseling and support to youth in a clinical setting, addressing behavioral, emotional, and psychological issues. Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that support the overall well-being of youth. Ensures a safe, supportive environment for youth to engage in therapy and skill-building activities.

Bachelor's Degree Social Work required or Bachelor's Degree Counseling required or Bachelor's Degree PSYCHOLOGY required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Experience in youth counseling or behavioral health services 2-3 years required and Experience in a hospital or clinical setting 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with the ability to build rapport with youth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and behavioral intervention strategies for youth.
- Ability to assess and adapt care plans based on progress and individual needs.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and ensuring confidentiality in a clinical setting.

CLAY CENTER DESCRIPTION:
The Youth Program Counselor is a 20-hour/week remote position at the MGH Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds. This role involves assisting the Clay Center in producing and disseminating public educational resources that support the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of youth, facilitating comprehensive outreach to schools and youth-serving organizations to share these resources, and handle other administrative duties as needed includes ordering supplies, expense reconciliation, and meeting minutes.āÆĀ In addition, the Assistant will collect data from the three community centers, facilitate an annual meeting of the teams, collate data and narrative on outcomes, and assist in generating an annual report that summarizes the outreach activities.
