PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $88,000.00-$107,500.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $68,300.00 - $127,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. WHAT YOUâLL DO
Account Reconciliation & Analysis:Youâllmonitorand reconcile balance sheet accounts, digging into discrepancies and ensuring everything ties out accurately across areas like loans, fixed assets, and payroll.
Expense Classification & Review:Youâllreview invoices and transactions, ensuring expenses are properly categorized as capital or operational and aligned with general ledger standards.
Financial Integrity & Compliance:Youâllmaintainthe accuracy and completeness of accounting records, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Collaboration & Business Support:Youâllpartner with teams across the credit union, helping resolve accounting issues and providing insights that support better business decisions.
Journal Entries & Close Process:Youâllprepare daily and month-end journal entries and play a key role in the month-end and year-endclose, including trend analysis and reporting.Â
Fixed Asset Accounting:Youâlltake ownership of fixed asset processes, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, andadjustmentsâespecially within the ERP system.
Process Improvement & Systems Support:Youâllcontribute to system enhancements and playan important rolein the upcoming ERP implementation, helping ensure accounting processes are efficient and scalable.
Reporting & Audit Support:Youâllprepare reports and schedules for audits and regulatory requirements, while also supporting ad hoc reporting needs.
Continuous Improvement:Youâllidentifyopportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance data accuracy across the organization.
Documentation & Procedures:Youâllmaintainclear and up-to-date documentation to support consistency and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work or education-related experiencerequired.Â
Minimum3 years of progressive experience in accounting, including hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and applying GAAP principles, with exposure to fixed assets or ERP systems preferred.
