Summary
In this position, the chosen individual will lead and be responsible for a small team and ensuring compliance to local environmental, health and safety regulations; ISO Standards; and Company Policies. In this position, you will be responsible in the development and implementation of programs, strategies, policies, training and procedures to reduce/eliminate risks; sustain a management system; and to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.Â
Supporting and advising site teams on implementation of the Baxter EHS management system.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in EHS program implementation, in line with our ISO 14001 certification.
Supporting the site management team in achieving and maintaining compliance with legal and Corporate EHS requirements.
Updating and maintaining site EHS processes and procedures.
Lead the preparation for and participation in external audits.
Lead and participated in Internal EHS Audits.
Tracking and reporting of audit actions closure on internal and external audit points.
Co-ordinating and deliver site-wide EHS training as per the Annual EHS training plan.
Completing periodic EHS metric reporting, along with other reports and presentations for the site and the region.
Manage incidents and ensure timely reporting at site, Regional and Corporate Level.
Participation and attendance at meetings on invitation to represent the Malta EHS function

Ensure completion of Baxter EHS monthly reports.
Lead and engage with the local EHS representatives.
Comply with EHS and other internal audits.
Be a source of advice to all employees.
Share knowledge and build internal and external relationships.
Plan and implement required changes.
Be capable of taking good and timely decisions.
Participate in EMEA EHS meetings as the Malta Lead
Provide follow up/coordination of agreed actions
Education and/or Experience. Include the education and/or experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
Bachelor's degree in technical/scientific related field, health, EHS, engineering.
Preferred experience in managing EHS in manufacturing or related field.
Experience in managing ISO 14001,45001 and AS 4801 systems.
Knowledge of Maltese EHS laws/regulations
Working knowledge and experience in ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001management systems.
Excellent problem-solving approach
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to lead different departments in achieving EHS objectives

Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change.
