Summary
The College Board Strategy LeadershipProgram: SeniorStrategyFellowis atwo-year program designed toattract and place senior talent into key leadership roles at the College Board.Senior Strategy Fellows willtake on1-3 major projects/deliverables forSenior/Vice Presidentsand get exposure and connection to leaders across the organization.TheSenior Fellow, pendingstrong performanceandorganizational need(s),mayhave an opportunity to step into a permanent role atCollegeBoard.
The Strategy Teamis responsible fordeveloping and executing the strategic vision and directionof the College Board. We work closely withtheexecutive leadership team, business units, and external partners toidentifyopportunities and incubate solutions that improve educational opportunities and outcomes, particularly for low-income, first-generation, and students of color, in the context of a competitive business environment.
The SeniorStrategyFellowroleisdesigned forindividuals with a longtrack recordof generating outstanding results, with a supporting skill set in management, operations, and problem-solving. Strong candidatesareCollege Boardculture carriersandhavethe potential to be a top 10% operating manager at a senior level at the College Board.
Program design:
Candidate would own1-3 projects with substantial stakes for the organization (e.g.address majorproblems/opportunitiesof an org priority)
Candidate would get substantial interaction with VP+ leadership across the organization tobuild understanding ofhow the organization works and toidentifya permanent role within the organization
SeniorStrategy Fellows are full-time paid employees and are eligible for College Board benefits, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and tuitionassistance. The position is remote and reports to theVPof Strategy, whoresidesin New York City.
About the Opportunity
As aSeniorStrategyFellow,you will own1-3 projects with substantial stakes for the College Board. You will:
Define and scope problem(s)and create ambitious, measurable goals
Identifyandleada cross-functional team (e.g.Product, Technology,Program, Sales, Marketing & Communications, Government Relations, etc.) ofstaff, defining clear lanes of responsibility and ensuring high degree of cross-org collaboration
Identifybiggest points of leverage/opportunity and work with workstream leads to solve these problems in service of accelerating progress
Deliver substantial progress towards goalsand create systems/structure to report and communicate progress to key staff and leadership
Depending on the scope of the engagement, theremay bedirect reports, or you may be an individual contributor. Regardless,you willcoachcolleagues across the organization, including more junior colleagueswho provide leverage/capacity on yourprojectwork.

You are/have:
20+years professional experiencewitha track recordof producing substantial results
Outstandingteam leader/manager, your results come from your ability to attract, develop, excite, andretainexceptional talent, at scale
Distinctive problem-solver, you have a strong ability to apply these skills to a diverse set of problems
Deepinterest in addressing systems-level problems and opportunities – you are encouraged by the challenge of helping to strengthen the College Board to help solve problems with students and members at scale
