About Ditto:
Ditto is redefining how data moves at the edge. Our mission is to make it seamless for developers to build resilient, real-time applications, regardless of network conditions. Whether you're in a stadium, airplane, or remote military base, Ditto's peer-to-peer sync engine ensures devices stay connected and data stays consistent, even without internet. With more than $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military, Ditto powers mission-critical experiences across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, defense, and more. As a globally distributed, fast-growing startup, weâre committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the wide range of perspectives needed to solve the worldâs hardest connectivity problems.
Lead and develop a team of platform engineers delivering managed Kubernetes across multiple cloud providers, BYOC customer deployments, and private networking capabilities for enterprise customers
Own the platform engineering delivery roadmap â sequencing, dependency tracking, and cross-team coordination with Cloud Organization, Security, and Professional Services
Drive foundational infrastructure programs including private networking, managed Kubernetes, and cloud account governance, establishing patterns that become Dittoâs standard deployment baseline
Manage the balance between active customer support commitments and internal platform investment â setting clear interrupt budgets and protecting engineering capacity for high-priority roadmap work
Translate technical architecture decisions into executable plans, ensuring engineers have clarity on what to build, why it matters, and how each piece fits the larger platform picture
Build the operational foundation â SLOs, runbooks, incident response, and access management â that moves Dittoâs infrastructure toward four 9s of reliability and business continuity
Represent the Platform teamâs work clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, communicating complex infrastructure programs to both technical and non-technical audiences
As the organization scales, take on broader scope across cloud networking and foundational infrastructure as those functions grow
Track record of leading platform or infrastructure teams through major modernization initiatives â managed Kubernetes migrations, multi-cloud expansions, or greenfield infrastructure builds
Strong enough technical depth in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure to engage credibly with senior engineers on architecture decisions, identify risks in proposals, and represent technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
Experience managing competing priorities across customer delivery commitments and internal platform investment â you know how to protect foundational work without dropping live obligations
Clear, direct communicator who can represent complex infrastructure programs concisely to executive audiences and push back constructively when scope or timelines are unrealistic
Comfortable operating in ambiguity â you bring structure and clarity to situations that donât have them yet, rather than waiting for perfect information before acting
Background in enterprise infrastructure deployment models where reliability, security posture, and compliance expectations are high
A proactive and curious attitude about how AI can support your role through automation, ideation, or more thoughtful decision-making
Experience building or scaling a platform engineering function, including team design, hiring, and onboarding engineers into complex infrastructure domains
Familiarity with multi-cloud identity federation, OIDC delegation, or cross-provider authentication patterns
Hands-on background with private networking patterns or secure access tooling in production environments
Exposure to cloud account structure, organizational governance, or networking backbone design at the platform level
Open source contributions or community involvement in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, or multi-cloud tooling
We offer competitive salaries and meaningful equity. We believe everyone on the team should have a stake in what weâre building. Regardless of where you live, everyone at Ditto can utilize flexible time off. And while we work remotely, our Atlanta and San Francisco offices are open if you ever want a place to work or meet up with teammates.
At Ditto, we know game-changers donât always come wrapped in a âperfectâ resume. Years of experience? Every single bullet point checked? Meh. Thatâs not what drives us.
