Job Description Summary:
Role SummaryÂ
The Manager, Customer Marketing â Retail defines and leads activation strategy across modern trade, key national retail chains, and wholesale environments serving at-home consumption occasions across GCM.Â
This role owns retail channel growth architecture, portfolio expansion strategies, and trade investment effectiveness, directly influencing revenue growth and promotional ROI across Chinaâs complex retail landscape.Â
Please note:Â This role is not fully remote. The selected candidate will need to be based in Shanghai and follow our hybrid work setupÂ
What Youâll Do for UsÂ
Define Retail Growth ArchitectureÂ
Develop long-range retail activation strategy aligned to portfolio and category prioritiesÂ
Translate brand growth strategy into scalable in-store execution frameworksÂ
Lead portfolio bundling, multipack expansion, and cross-category programs to drive household penetrationÂ
Set seasonal activation strategy (CNY, Mid-Autumn, summer,etc) with clear performance metricsÂ
Optimize Trade Investment & ROIÂ
Partner with Sales and RGM to design pricing and promotional mechanicsÂ
Influence trade spend allocation and evaluate promotional lift and profitabilityÂ
Provide scenario modeling to guide commercial trade-offsÂ
Elevate promotional effectiveness measurement standards across the systemÂ
Strengthen Retail Partnerships & ExecutionÂ
Develop insight-led proposals for key national retailersÂ
Drive alignment between national activation strategy and Bottler executionÂ
Establish execution benchmarks and compliance standardsÂ
Perform other jobârelated duties as assigned, in response to evolving business needs and market dynamicsÂ
Qualifications & RequirementsÂ
RequiredÂ
Bachelorâs degree requiredÂ
3-8Â years FMCG experience in retail, shopper, or trade marketingÂ
Strong understanding of China modern trade and retail complexityÂ
Experience managing national activation programsÂ
Strong commercial and financial acumenÂ
Proven cross-functional leadership without direct authorityÂ
PreferredÂ
Experience working with top national retail chainsÂ
Experience in O2O retail integrationÂ
