The Intel Data Center Group isseekinga skilled and experienced Senior GPU Validation Engineer where you will define, develop, and perform functional validation for Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), focusing on the interaction of GPUs with media, display, and system-level features. You will apply various hardware and software tools and techniques to ensure comprehensivevalidationcoverage and achieve performance, power, and area goals. This role requires regular onsite presence to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and fulfill essential job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
GPU Validation Planning & Execution
- Define, develop, and execute comprehensive functional validation plans for GPUs, focusing on media, display, and system-level features
- Apply hardware and software tools to ensure thorough validation coverage and meet performance, power, and area objectives
- Test interactions between various GPU features using advanced validation infrastructure
- Review proposed design changes to assess their impact on validation plans, tasks, and timelines
Validation Methodology & Infrastructure Development
- Develop innovative GPU validation methodologies and collaborate with engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
- Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and state space coverage
- Work with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams tomaintainand improve debug and validation test strategies
Silicon Debug & Issue Resolution
- Perform comprehensive silicon debug toidentifyroot causes and resolve functional and triage failures for GPU issues
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex GPU validation challenges
- Develop solutions proactively to address potential challenges before theyimpactproject timelines
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Publish detailed GPU validation reports summarizing all validation activities, review results, and communicate findings to relevant teams
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Maintain excellent communication to clearly convey validation findings and technical recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex GPU issue resolution
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical reporting

Qualifications:
The Minimum qualificationsare required tobe considered for this position.Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research.The preferred qualifications are in addition to theminimumrequirements and are considered a plus factor inidentifyingtop candidates

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study and5+ years of industry experience
- 4+ years of experience inSystemVerilog/UVM-based pre-silicon validation focusing on boot sequences, reset functionality, power management, and system controller functions in SoC or IP designscontainingmicrocontrollers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree inComputer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study
- Experience with driving pre-silicon validation as technical lead as well as working as Individual contributor
- Experience with GPU pre-silicon validation
- Validation experience with interactions between HW and FW
