Summary
We are looking for a candidate to complete desktop publishing as their primary responsibility and to tech edit proposals as a secondary responsibility. This candidate must be proficient in both.
The Desktop Publisher (Proposals) is responsible for the layout, formatting, and production of high-quality proposal documents, presentations, and related materials that support the companyâs business development and capture efforts. This role ensures that all proposal submissions are visually consistent, compliant with solicitation requirements, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in document design software (MS Word, MS PPT, MS Excel) with a strong eye for detail, organization and brand consistency.
The Technical Editor supports proposal development by reviewing and refining written content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance. This role works closely with proposal managers, writers, and subject matter experts to produce persuasive, customer-focused, and high-quality proposal materials that align with company and solicitation standards.

The salary range for this role is:
$70,500 - $100,275AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidateâs work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (âITARâ) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (âEARâ). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironmentâs determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironmentâs business requirements. A âU.S. personâ according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
