About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Global Payroll, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the US, Canada, UK, Mexico, and other international locations, with a primary focus on US payroll and secondary support for international payrolls.
This role supports a fast-paced, high-growth environment and plays a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Process full-cycle payroll for the US and provide backup support for Canada, UK, Mexico and international payrolls
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including benefits reconciliation
- Administer HRIS & Payroll systems - manage payroll changes, including salary adjustments, deductions, employee terminations, and Records of Employment
- Review and reconcile quarterly and year-end payroll reports, including W-2s, T4s, and other statutory filings
- Prepare and balance payroll journal entries and reconcile monthly benefits reports
- Stay current on regulatory and legislative changes impacting payroll across jurisdictions
- Provide ad hoc payroll reporting and analysis to the Finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and other departments to support payroll operations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of payroll experience
- Strong payroll accounting knowledge
- Experience with Rippling and systems administration is an asset
- Exposure to international payroll (or willingness to learn)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization
Compensation & Pay Transparency: The anticipated compensation for this role is 75,000 to 80,000 CAD per yar (Gross). Final compensation is determined by a candidate's unique skills, experience, and internal equity
