About the role
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, the Business Development Representative role is responsible for driving Q4's customer acquisition by employing targeted prospecting through calls, emails, and social selling. Utilizing Salesforce and SalesLoft, the Sales Development Representative qualifies leads, schedules meetings, and maintains active engagement with both new and existing leads. Responsibilities also include meticulous record-keeping in Salesforce, logging all prospect-related activities, and strategically prioritizing target account lists to maximize sales opportunities.
What you'll do
- Generate net new customers for Q4 through prospecting and activity-based calling, emailing and social selling.
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings using Salesforce and SalesLoft
- Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase interest in Q4 products
- Keep prospect account records up to date in the database (Salesforce) and for logging all activity and information on prospects
- Conduct targeted outreach through calls, emails, and social selling to generate qualified meetings.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and actively manage pipeline progress.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
- Continuously test and improve outreach: run A/B tests on subject lines, openers, CTAs, and channel sequencing; report learnings.
- Create and prioritize strategic target account lists
- Maintain organized data in Salesforce and Salesloft.
- Generate outbound interest with new prospects utilizing cold calling, emailing and LinkedIn
- Partner with sales to maximize territory management and strategic campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree desirable but not essential
- Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude
- Goal-oriented and a lifelong learner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to understand customer pain and provide consultative solutions
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively to complete a high volume of outreach
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Outreach.io experience is helpful
- Some Capital Markets experience is helpful
Compensation & Pay Transparency: The anticipated compensation for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 GBP per year (Gross). Final compensation is determined by a candidate's unique skills, experience, and internal equity
