We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join our IP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing ASICs for multiple applications. This role requires a deep understanding of digital design, verification methodologies, and algorithms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop ASIC architectures for applications based on specifications and requirements.
- Own the RTL Design complex ASIC blocks or full chips, from architectural definition through tape鈥憃ut and silicon bring鈥憉p support.
- Implement RTL coding using hardware description languages such as verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Define micro-architecture and author detailed design specifications aligned with architectural goals and performance targets.
- Own schedule, scope, and delivery commitments for the design organization; proactively identify risks and drive corrective actions.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular coaching, and develop future technical and people leaders.
- Drive design quality by enforcing robust design methodologies, coding standards, power/performance/area (PPA) targets, and sign鈥憃ff criteria.
- in depth knowledge of HW tools.
- Implement high-quality, efficient RTL designs (in SystemVerilog), ensuring functionality, performance, and power goals are met.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, verification, physical design, product, and SoC integration teams to deliver top-tier IP solutions.
- Drive debug, coverage closure, and continuous quality improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct system-level simulations and feasibility studies to validate ASIC performance.
- Optimize designs for low power consumption and high reliability.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Document all phases of ASIC design and development for future reference and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in ASIC design and algorithms.
- Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring design best practices are followed.
