Major Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Chief of Landscape Architecture Design, supervise the Interagency Coordination Team, Capital Public Design Commission (PDC) Liaison, Capital Parks Preservation Officer and Capital Survey Team.
- Monitor and ensure that the Capital interagency permitting/approval process is well coordinated and managed. Meet with Borough officials, operations staff, legal staff, various agencies, partners and outside groups to properly coordinate permitting/approvals and safeguard the interests of the agency. Provide permitting and design input oversight to the Interagency staff, PDC Liaison and Parks Preservation Officer in coordination with the Chief of Landscape Architecture.
- Provide design approval guidance for design staff and consultants. Meet with various Chiefs, Team Leaders, Directors, consultants, partners, outside agencies and partners to resolve issues impacting the Capital program.
- Assist the Chief of Landscape Architecture to ensure that all designs meet Parks standards. Assist the Chief of Landscape Architecture with design reviews and communicating with design consultants.
- Assist the Chief of Landscape Architecture in the review of in-house, consultant, citywide services, planning and interagency landscape designs.
- Assist the Chief of Landscape Architecture in the resolution of team personnel issues.
