As the Area Director of Sales, you will support three properties, Hyde Mexico City Reforma, Mama Shelter Roma and Mondrian Mexico City Condesa. You will be the strategic driving force behind the commercial success of these properties and you will lead and shape the sales efforts in line with each brand鈥檚 visionary identity. This role requires an exceptional sales leader with a strong track record in high-end resort markets, luxury travel segments, and strategic account management.
You will oversee all sales functions, including leisure, corporate, MICE, and luxury travel segments, building strong global partnerships and positioning Mexico City as one of the world鈥檚 most coveted destinations.
What you'll do...
- Develop and execute a dynamic sales strategy aligned with the brand, revenue goals, and the unique appeal of the destination.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key luxury and emerging markets.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, and General Managers to deliver commercial excellence.
- Direct and manage all group and transient sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
- Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly SMART goals, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
- Develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
- Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team committed to excellence and brand storytelling.
- Coach and develop team members to nurture talent and encourage continuous learning and growth.
- Foster a collaborative, passionate, and target-driven culture within the commercial team.
- Participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings
- Conduct and attend business review meetings, strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested
- Represent the property at high-profile international trade shows, roadshows, and client events.
- Cultivate deep relationships with luxury DMCs, agencies, and global partners to drive awareness and bookings.
- Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP鈥檚, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team
- Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
- Operate the Sales Department within established sales expense budget
- Set, track, and exceed revenue targets across all segments.
- Provide accurate forecasting, market insights, and performance analysis to inform business decisions.
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within said market. Ensure sales staff is held accountable for those accounts within their respective territories
- Review meeting planner evaluations as received to ensure that any problems are rectified
- Work in close partnership with the Ennismore corporate office to ensure alignment with brand standards and global strategies.
- Champion each brand鈥檚 unique identity in all communications, ensuring a consistent luxury narrative across channels.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the direct report.
