Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects parts for defects and material handling damage.
- Scrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloth.
- Mounts tools on revolving spindle for abrasive finishing and deburring.
- Able to change out tooling such as rubberized abrasives and bench grinder abrasive wheels as needed.
- Operates Grit Blast Cabinet, hand held Die-Grinder, Dremel with Scotchbrite or abrasive wheel to polish part.
- Uses Compressed Air to ensure interior and exterior of parts are blown off after polishing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee must pass the respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit test prior to performing any duties and on an annual basis thereafter.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear a respirator on average 8 hours a day.
- Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
