We are looking for a detail-oriented Social Media and External Communications Specialist to support our global marketing and communications activities. In this role, you will help amplify Avaloq鈥檚 brand presence worldwide by crafting engaging social media content, supporting external communications, and contributing to high鈥憅uality content production. You will also gain hands-on experience managing a global B2B social media presence.
You will work closely with our PR and Communications team, marketing colleagues and subject matter experts across our global locations, giving you the chance to develop your knowledge of marketing, technology and finance.

Your Key Tasks
- Create, schedule and publish global social media content (primarily LinkedIn), covering events, thought leadership, product and corporate milestones, awards, client stories and announcements.
- Coordinate with teams across global locations to gather inputs for content, events, launches and awareness days, ensuring strong alignment across markets.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers and videographers - providing clear briefs, ensuring the right event coverage, and selecting or guiding the production of visual assets (photos, animations, graphics and videos).
- Partner with external communications and PR teams to support the creation of press releases, media materials, corporate statements and integrated content.
- Manage and maintain the global social media content calendar, ensuring a balanced mix of content and timely delivery across teams.
- Monitor brand mentions, audience interactions and social media trends; respond in a timely, brand-consistent manner and support social listening activities.
- Set up, optimize and maintain social media channels as needed, including admin-level governance and best-practice configuration.
- Collaborate with global marketing, product and digital teams to align organic social content with campaigns, messaging priorities and broader strategic initiatives.
- Track and report on social media performance using analytics and scheduling tools, providing insights that improve reach, engagement and channel effectiveness.
- Ensure brand consistency across all messaging, visuals and communication workflows, supporting a coherent and high-quality brand presence online.
