Position Summary

The Project Manager plays a critical role in advancing Lean strategy execution and strengthening internal operations within UHN Data & Analytics. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance Improvement & Excellence, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering Lean capability development initiatives, as well as leading internal operational improvement projects that enhance team effectiveness and service delivery.

This temporary full-time position requires a highly organized, self-directed professional who can quickly assume ownership of active workstreams, maintain momentum, and independently lead projects in a complex hospital environment. The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, healthcare system knowledge, and foundational training in Lean or quality improvement methodologies. The role works closely within a small, high-performing team and requires a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to contribute positively to a supportive team environment.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate execution of the Data & Analytics Lean strategy, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with departmental priorities.
• Manage and administer the Green Belt training program and associated Lean capability development activities, including office hours, Lunch & Learns, participant coordination, and progress tracking.
• Facilitate the development and maintenance of Lean toolkits, templates, and standardized improvement resources to support sustainable continuous improvement.
• Independently lead internal operational improvement projects (e.g., demand management process enhancements) from initiation through implementation, including planning, stakeholder engagement, workflow mapping, risk mitigation, and benefits realization.
• Establish clear project governance structures, timelines, milestones, and reporting mechanisms; prepare high-quality documentation and status updates for leadership and committees.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across clinical, operational, and analytics teams to support change adoption and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
