Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Wage range: $35.57- 36.19 per hour (Start rate non-negotiable)
Shifts:  Rotating Evenings (15:00 - 23:00) and Nights (23:00 - 07:00) plus working rotating weekends. Shift(s)/Hours are subject to change in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement.
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Duties

As an integral member of the Facility’s Operations and Maintenance Department, the BUILDING OPERATOR is responsible for:

• Planning and undertaking of all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, and energy management.
• Performing operations and undertaking preventative maintenance to ensure the continuous operation of plant’s equipment/machinery
• Diagnosing problems of equipment/machinery; providing feedback to ensure new construction and/or modification will not impact existing systems;
• Inspection of the facility / mechanical rooms; repairing equipment / machinery;
• contributing to the efficient operation of the department;
• Performing cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required;
• Performing other duties consistent with the classification, as deemed necessary.
