Wonderful Scholar Summer Internship, Food Safety & Quality

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible intern for a full-time 8-week summer internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our talented professionals.

This position will be based onsite (not remote) at Wonderful Citrus located in Delano, CA. This schedule for this internship is 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Days of the week and work hours may change due to business needs.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Gain understanding of Food Safety regulations and Quality Control standards
• Maintain and track records to ensure food safety practices are adhered to
• Support the QC team in inspecting products to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
• Help collect, analyze, and interpret data related to food safety trends and incidents, identifying areas for improvement
• Accurately document quality checks and inspections, maintaining up-to-date records of findings and reports
• Identify, develop, and support continuous improvement opportunities
• Update and develop departmental SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Assist with WOW projects and identifying quick wins
• Provide general administrative support to the Food Safety and QC team
