Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible intern for a full-time 8-week summer internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our talented professionals. This position will be based on-site at Wonderful Citrus located in Delano, CA. The schedule for this internship is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Days of the week and work hours may change due to business needs.
Here鈥檚 what you鈥檒l do:
- Assist in reviewing packinghouse operational assets to help identify energized equipment and potential safety hazards.
- Support the development of lockout/tagout (LOTO) maps and procedures for various assets and tasks, working alongside an experienced maintenance team member.
- Collaborate with an assigned clerical support team member to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Review existing Confined Space documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Help update current Confined Space documents and assist in creating new maps and documentation for additional assets as identified.
- Identify required safety signage for each asset and help compile a list of signage needs.
- Support the process of requesting and organizing the purchase of safety signage.
- Assist with applying and installing safety signage on all applicable assets throughout the facility.
