We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Sales Director to lead our Platform & Digital business in Japan. This is a senior leadership position responsible for defining the commercial strategy for our supply-side partnerships, owning the revenue accountability, and driving growth with Japan's leading digital platforms, ad-tech companies, and technology partners. You will lead a high-performing commercial team and act as the executive face of Nielsen to this critical ecosystem, shaping the future of digital measurement in the market.
Platform & Digital Growth Strategy
As a senior member of the commercial team, you will own the strategy for expanding our digital footprint by focusing on the region's most critical platforms and technology partners.
Business & Commercial Strategy: Define and execute the multi-year commercial strategy for the Platform & Digital business unit in Japan, aligning with regional and global objectives to drive market share and revenue.
Revenue Accountability: Hold full accountability for the revenue performance and forecasting of the business unit. You will develop and manage the annual revenue plan and sales budget.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing commercial team. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration to attract and retain top talent.
Go-to-Market Ownership: Direct the go-to-market strategy for our digital and platform-focused solutions, ensuring they are positioned effectively to solve the core challenges of our supply-side partners.
Executive Deal Command: Provide executive sponsorship and strategic direction on the most critical, high-value negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and long-term technical and commercial partnerships.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Serve as the ultimate authority on the Japanese digital platform and ad-tech market, translating deep insights into decisive business strategy.
Strategic Partnership & Engagement
You will be responsible for building and managing deep, technical, and commercial relationships with the region's most influential digital players
C-Suite & Executive Partnership: Forge and own strategic relationships at the C-suite level with Japan's most influential digital platforms, ad-tech firms, and industry bodies.
Executive Thought Leadership: Act as the executive voice and chief evangelist for Nielsen in the Japanese digital and ad-tech market, representing the company at industry events and in high-level partner discussions.
Strategic Counsel: Serve as a trusted, strategic advisor to key partners, providing consultative insights on measurement, data strategy, and monetization.
Strategic Market Feedback: Act as the primary conduit for market insights, channeling strategic feedback from Japan's top partners to product and commercial teams to ensure our roadmap reflects local needs.
