Job Summary:
The In-Process Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of inspection techniques, and the ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The In-Process Inspector will perform inspections during various stages of production to ensure that all components and assemblies meet industry and company standards. The role involves working closely with production teams, quality control, and supervisors to maintain high levels of product integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Conduct in-process inspections of parts, components, and assemblies to verify compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to inspect dimensions, tolerances, and overall part integrity.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, or deviations from specifications during the production process.
- Collaborate with production personnel and supervisors to address quality concerns and ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, including inspection reports, data sheets, and logs.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inspected items to prevent damage.
- Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Ensure that inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure adherence to company and industry standards for quality and safety.
