Summary:Supervises and directs the storage and disbursement of purchased components, fabricated details, sub-assemblies and assemblies built to stock. Prepares and maintains inventory transactions and records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Areas of responsibility: Shipping, Receiving, Stores, and Material Handling.
- Assigns employees depending upon workload. Instructs employees in work assignments, answers questions and makes decisions regarding problems which arise.
- Verifies that shop orders are being processed in the proper sequence as determined by the Dispatch Report PC 1235.
- Oversees the issue and receipt of material to/from the shop floor for the purpose of maintaining complete control over stored physical inventory.
- Maintains records of those shop orders released to the floor with shortages, and issues those shortages when received into stores.
- Supervises the taking of physical inventory in assigned stores area. Notifies the Scheduler of those items whose shelf life has expired.
- Works with the Production Control Supervisor in the processing of termination claims. Oversees the pulling, packaging and storage of terminated inventory.
- Maintains good employee management through proper interpretation of instructions, company policies, classifications, wages and reviews to employees.
- Supervises all Shipping parts are packaged and shipped according to the customer order and within company and ITAR regulations.
- Ensures all parts are received within a timely manner and resolves all issues related to receiving quickly and thoroughly.
- Outlines, defines, trains, and reinforces department procedures and policies.
- Measures department and employee output via KPIs.
- Assists in leading annual full Physical Inventory.
- Assumes responsibility for control of departmental discipline, safety and good housekeeping.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
- Other duties with the work as assigned.
