General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Responsible for performing quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
- Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
- Responsible in implementing the company inspection Test Plan, Inspection checklist, Material System specification, Engineering Procedure and Standards as per Project Quality Contract.
- Establish Quality Procedures and review the Construction Method of Statement prior to submission for company approval.
- Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
- Monitor the E&I field inspection and violation such as Quality Observation Report, Log Book Entry and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) were corrective action implemented on the site as per target date and preventive action must be observed to avoid repeating the violation.
- Monitor that IFC drawing must be used and follow on the site for the construction activity.
- Monitor that correct materials being used and all inspections required has been carried out prior, to be issued for the installation.
- Monitor proper and correct handling, storage and preservation of Equipment and materials was implemented, vendor instruction was being followed upon the delivery on the project site until pre-commissioning stage.
- Monitor and review the preparation of loop folder and the progress of loop checking was conducted.
- Monitor the construction activity that all installations and test conducted was comply the project specification requirements, code and standard requirements to avoid any rejection and punch list.
- Monitoring and ensuring that the relevant Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans and Procedures are in line with Project Quality Plan and being followed through-out the Project Life Cycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing and performing inspection of Electrical discipline.
- Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
- Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
- Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
- Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
- Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing Matrix).
- Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
- Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
- Carry out QC Supervisor鈥檚 responsibility in their absence.
- Control quality violations through regular tool box talk with the construction team.
- Review and track material submittals required for Electrical Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
- Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Electrical Definable Features of Work.
- Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
- Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
- Ensure to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted.
- Prepare and review Energization Package and Motor Solo Run Packages prior to submit for company approval.
- Inspection/witness in testing and functional of Switchgear, Control gear, Power Transformer and Dry Type Transformer with client.
- Inspection/witness of MV power cable termination/splicing and testing with client.
- Witness in Motor no load test with client.
- Inspection/witness the installation and testing for Cathodic Protection system, Heat tracing Fire alarm, Telecommunication system with client.
