General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
- Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
- Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
- Supervise, Inspect and support Construction to proceed related activities concerning the progress in accordance with project specification.
- Managing and performing inspection of Civil discipline
- Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
- Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
- Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
- Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
- Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing Matrix).
- Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
- Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
- Carry out QC Supervisor鈥檚 responsibility in their absence.
- Control quality violations through regular tool box talk with the construction team.
- Review and track material submittals required for Civil Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
- Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Civil Definable Features of Work.
- Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
- Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
- Ensure to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted.
- Monitor and inspect specific Civil related activities such as Compressive Strength Test, Soil Compaction, on site-off site laboratory test if required.
- Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of recognized building codes such as the International Building Code (IBC) or equivalent standards. As applicable for the WORK, the candidate shall demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, building interiors, building finishes, roof systems, and asphalt.
