General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Support the main role of quantity surveying in Engineering and Construction project.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for field verification of quantities as per given construction drawing.
- Responsible for the development of detailed material and quantity take-offs.
- Participate quantity negotiation associated with additional contract work and change order.
- Provide relevant document (e.g. drawings and material/quantity take-off) and prepare work orders.
- Assist with cost analysis for subcontractor change requests/proposals.
- Provides meaningful, accurate historical quantity and cost data.
- Conduct area walk around to confirm subcontractor issued quantities.
- Review and verify the quantities submitted by the subcontractor as well as calculations, and approve the quantities.
- Review drawings and Coordinate with discipline engineers where needed, and ensure reviewed drawings are available to all parties.
- Review subcontractor鈥檚 monthly invoices, drawings and manuals and monitor as-built.
- Assist with cost analysis for subcontractor change requests/proposals.
- Calculate the quantities caused by change Order and estimate cost impact.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities from IFC drawings, subcontract information.
- Maintain records and track Bills of Quantities and other measurements according to the approved technical drawings.
- Check, verify and maintains records of built / site measurements and quantifications for further approval.
- Support and contribute to the tender and proposal process as required Identifies and analyze the commercial risk of a project.
- Verify and record quantities installed, according to approved QC reports.
- Evaluate subcontract payments for subcontracts, ensuring costs are within budget.
