Assistant Financial Accountant

We’re seeking a Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Head Office in Thame. The role requires a Financial Accountant to join CPM’s Finance department - we will even support you to complete your qualifications if not already qualified! Excellent salary - Up to £35k, plus company bonus and excellent benefits including pension and 26 days holiday rising to 31 days

As Assistant Financial Accountant, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment alongside a knowledgeable team so there’s never a dull day at work. You will implement new and help improve existing processes policies, planning managing the year end accounts, full PL and tax activities.

Salary: £30-35K DOE

The Assistant Financial Accountant Role:

This key role within our Finance department is pivotal to ensuring all accounts are processed in a timely manner. We are a very dynamic business, meaning that you will have several projects on the go at any one time. Timescales can often be short, so your ability to rise to a challenge and manage business expectations will be vital!

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Financial Accountant are:

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Submission of working capital reporting to parent.
• Quarterly and Annual reporting.
• P+L and Balance Sheet reporting to parent.
• Submission of company forecast to parent.
• Fixed Asset Management.
• Supporting the production of Statutory Accounts for each entity supported by Omni-SSG.
• Supporting Sarbanes Oxley processes including testing and sampling..
• Audit support.
• Undertake specific projects to improve financial controls of the business.

You would enjoy this Assistant Financial Accountant role if:

• You have experience of working in a financial environment.
• You are actively studying (ACA, CIMA or ACCA). We will support your studies!
• You would enjoy being client facing and are able to quickly build rapport with people.
• You thrive on working to extremely tight deadlines at month and quarter end.
• You know when to modify how you present your information. ensuring the key points land with your audience
• You have a commitment to quality and actively seek to broaden your experience and knowledge to keep ahead of the curve!
• You’re curious – you seek to understand what is going on and proactive in recommending improvements.
