Responsibilities
- Provide expert Labour and Employee Relations guidance and support to our HR team and leaders, tailoring best practices to the needs of our growing business
- As a member of our HR Business Partner team, provide advice on:
- Performance management
- Collective agreement interpretation
- Labour and employee relations principles and legislation
- Collaborate with our Total Rewards team to develop compensation strategies for our unionized employees
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team by ensuring our recruitment processes align with collective agreement requirements
- Connect and build relationships with leaders, union representatives, and employees to proactively resolve conflicts
- Develop and deliver presentations to senior leaders on Labour and Employee Relations strategies, enhancing understanding and advocacy
- Lead collective bargaining with our manufacturing and professional unions, conducting research, developing bargaining strategies, and applying interest-based techniques
- Develop and lead training on Labour and Employee Relations, equipping leaders with essential knowledge and skills
- Lead grievance resolution and workplace investigations as required to inform strategic HR initiatives
- Collect metrics, perform data analysis, and make recommendations
- Act as a key contributor to various strategic HR initiatives, directly impacting organizational effectiveness
