The Host / Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering a refined, welcoming, and memorable dining experience. At Raffles & Fairmont Doha, the Hostess represents the elegance, professionalism, and personalized service standards of both luxury brands by greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables while presenting menus and explaining dining concepts when required
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service in line with luxury standards
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns courteously and efficiently
- Manage restaurant reservations using the designated booking system
- Maintain accurate waitlists and seating plans to optimize table turnover
- Coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth guest flow
- Monitor dining room activity to maintain an elegant and calm atmosphere
- Communicate clearly with servers, supervisors, and managers regarding guest preferences and VIP arrivals
- Support the Food & Beverage team during peak hours
- Ensure special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, VIP guests) are acknowledged
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming and uniform standards at all times
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Follow all hotel policies, service procedures, and brand standards
- Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Comply with local regulations and hotel policies
