To be accountable on a shift basis for the operations of the outlet through effective people skills. Provision of friendly and efficient food and beverage service that meets the guest鈥檚 expectations.
Key Duties
- Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests and meets their expectations.
- Provide food and beverage services to guests as set out in the standards and procedures.
- Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
- Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
- Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
- Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant and conference service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
- Ensure Food & Beverage areas meet the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving.
- Ensure room service trays and trolleys are set-up correctly and collected promptly when guest(s) have finished.
- Ensure staff are competent in all service procedures and they are able to maximise sales to guests.
- Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
- Flexibility is crucial for this role, as you will be rostered across a 7-day rotating schedule, with shifts starting early morning and finishing late at night.
